She wrote in September about adopting a cat, as her cat had recently died. We had several so we made plans for her to come to meet them all. She never showed for the appointment, and she didn't call or email to say she was canceling (even though she had been quick to respond before this). This was not surprising since many people have made plans to come meet a cat and are never heard from again. But she was.

In early November she wrote again about adopting a cat (one of the same ones we had discussed before). She gave no indication that she remembered speaking with me or that the cat was the same one she had previously said reminded her of her deceased cat. I wrote back and confronted her but of course she never responded. I googled her and found that she is a Muslim 'revert' (which is what some people call converts, because in their hearts they were always Muslim). She was on several online forums looking for Muslim women who wanted to give up their babies. Yes, she was looking to adopt a human as well as a cat. It was odd to me she seemed to be limiting her search to only children of already-Muslim women since she herself was not born Muslim.

I gleaned from this she is on the young side (some suggested her second email volley was a result of Alzheimers), married to a Muslim man and a little out of her mind. Just a little bit. But she wasted my time on 2 occasions, I would not trust her to make good on her promises.
